Cottage Community Projects in Sussex & Kent County

22-Home Pilot Community (Sussex County)

  • 22 cottages (mix of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms)
  • Solar-ready utilities, shared lawns and gardens, walking paths, pavilion, and play area
  • Rents kept attainable for working residents while ensuring durability and low maintenance

How We Select Sites

We seek to acquire land, either through donations or purchase, that has access to jobs, transportation, schools and other services. Each parcel is evaluated for environmental stewardship, infrastructure efficiency, and long-term viability.

Project Phases & Future Growth

Our Sussex County pilot is just the beginning. Plans are underway to expand into Kent County with multi-phase developments of 30–40 cottages, designed around local needs. Each new site incorporates lessons learned from earlier builds, ensuring stronger infrastructure, more efficient layouts, and community amenities tailored to residents.

Community Features

Future projects will include:

Expanded shared gardens for food sustainability

Walking and biking paths that connect residents to schools and workplaces

Playgrounds and youth spaces to support family life

Multipurpose pavilions for events, workshops, and social gatherings
